1. Who we are and the scope of this policy

STIHL is the brand displayed on this equipment catalogue. The legal operator’s name, postal address and applicable operating region have not yet been added to this preview. Those details will be included in this policy before the public store opens.

This policy covers the STIHL website preview. It does not cover third-party websites, manufacturers or services you choose to visit separately.

2. Information used by this website

Saved selections. When you use the shortlist or comparison features, the website saves the identifiers of the selected catalogue entries and, for the cart, their quantities in your browser. These selections are not linked to an account, name or email address.

Searches and filters. Search terms and filter choices are processed within the page to display matching products. The site’s application code does not submit these searches to a server or save them between visits.

The preview has no connected registration, payment, newsletter or enquiry-submission service. It does not ask you to enter your name, postal address, email address or payment details.

When this site is served online, the hosting infrastructure may receive technical information such as an IP address, request time, requested page and browser information. The exact logging practices depend on the hosting service and configuration, which have not yet been confirmed. Opening the downloaded files locally does not itself send a page request to a STIHL web server.

3. How information is used

The shortlist, demo cart and comparison selections let you revisit the equipment you have chosen on the same browser and device. Searches and filters help you find entries in the catalogue. These features do not place an order, reserve stock or send an enquiry.

The preview does not use your selections to create an advertising profile or make automated decisions about you. The operator must specify any additional processing purposes and applicable legal grounds if new services or hosting-related processing are introduced.

4. Cookies, browser storage and tracking

The application uses browser local storage for your shortlist, demo cart and comparison selections. Local storage is stored on your device; these values are not automatically attached to web requests like cookies. The application contains no code that uploads the saved selections.

The supplied site includes no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, embedded videos or social-media tracking widgets. Its images and scripts are included with the site rather than loaded from third-party asset services. Cookies or other services added by a hosting provider are not covered by this description until the hosting setup is confirmed.

You can clear all saved selections through Storage Settings or remove the site’s saved data in your browser. If browser storage is unavailable, selections may not persist between pages.

5. Sharing and external services

The current website does not send the saved lists or search terms to an analytics, marketing, payment or enquiry provider. It has no application feature for selling or sharing those selections with advertising partners.

Online hosting may involve a service provider processing technical requests. The provider, its role and any relevant data recipients must be identified before deployment. If you follow a link to an external website, that website’s own privacy practices apply.

6. How long information is kept

Saved shortlist, demo cart and comparison entries have no automatic expiry set by the application. They remain in this browser until you remove them, clear the lists in Storage Settings, clear site data, or the browser removes the storage. They are not synchronized to another device.

Search terms and unsaved filter choices are not retained by the application after the page is closed or reloaded. Any hosting-log retention period remains to be confirmed for the selected hosting provider.

7. Your choices and privacy requests

You may browse without adding entries to a shortlist or comparison list. You can remove individual selections or clear all saved selections at any time in Storage Settings. Because these selections stay in your browser, the current site does not provide a server-side account from which to retrieve them.

The contact fields below are intentionally blank in this preview. A working privacy contact and the procedures for exercising any rights under applicable law must be added once the legal operator, operating region and processing arrangements are confirmed. Please do not send personal information through this preview.

8. Security and processing location

The saved lists can be accessed by someone using the same browser profile. Clear them if you do not want them to remain on a shared device. No website, device or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Server locations, service-provider safeguards and any international processing arrangements depend on the final hosting setup. This preview does not make promises about arrangements that have not yet been configured.

9. Children’s information

This preview is an equipment catalogue and does not include a child-account, age-verification or personal-information submission feature. If additional services are introduced, their intended audience and treatment of children’s information will be addressed before launch.

10. Changes to this policy
